In this area of Portugal, the donkey and cart is still used; in and around the numerous picturesque villages the land is plowed to grow subsistence crops.  The people are wonderfully warm and welcoming.  This is Central Portugal .... away from the bright city lights and crowded tourist areas.  Here you will absorb the true nature and culture of the Portuguese Nation.  There is so much to see and do and some of the mountain scenery is breathtaking !  Or - you can relax and chill out in the garden.
